What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over time. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, etc.) work the same way.
How we use them
- Strictly necessary — session cookies that keep you logged in, remember items in your cart, and protect against fraud. These cannot be disabled.
- Functional — remember your preferences (language, accent color, dismissed banners, etc.).
- Analytics — help us understand which pages get used and how the platform performs. We only set these if the organization who owns the site you're on has opted in (e.g. via Google Analytics integration).
- Marketing — only set if the organization has configured a marketing pixel (e.g. Meta Pixel) and you've accepted them via the cookie banner.
Your choices
On your first visit to a Huddl-hosted site, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the “Consent Preferences” link in the page footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings.
Third-party cookies
Each organization on Huddl can choose to enable Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, or similar third-party tools on their site. When enabled, those providers will set their own cookies governed by their own privacy policies. The list of enabled integrations is shown in the cookie banner on the first visit to each site.
